The publication "Cultural Clash Nomade" is the result of a long-standing discussion within the scope of teaching, addressing questions relating to the migratory flows of the last few decades.

Based on the eponymous mobile exhibition realised in 2013, the material interlaced throughout the publication comprises a wide selection of images collected between 2013 and 2020, from the events that took place and the works of art which were displayed, as well as a series of written contributions: Memories of the participants, video transcriptions, interviews with partners and a selection of theoretical texts. The text contributions, realised in the form of interviews and spanning a period of five years, document a social and political situation that has become more and more acute in this context, and show the ways in which institutions and social organisations are engaging with a steadily intensifying social climate.

The outer shape of the book, modelled on a folder, is suggestive of a process of archiving, while the body of the book is designed as a travel diary. The circuit follows the route taken in 2013, with every book section taking up the thematic focus of the respective station. The resulting six chapters are not hermetically separated from one another but rather treated as part of a continuum and are connected through the maps and pictures of the completed stages. The design awakens associations related to travel books and atlases. It suggests movement in the spatial dimension.

The multi-perspective character of the project is reflected in the design of the book by Valentina D’Urbano.
